Deputy Sheriff Tvelia was killed in a motorcycle crash while on his way to serve as an honor guard at the funeral of a fellow officer's mother. Deputy Tvelia was on his department motorcycle and in full uniform when he collided with a vehicle and then was Struck by a vehicleck by a second vehicle. Deputy Tvelia was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
